WebJul 5, 2012 · You are both wrong and right , Stock shocks are OK ,but close on a 5 inch drop , pinion angle will change enough to cause problems on most ( not all) trucks , I have had 3 duallys with 3"/4"/5" drops and they all had pinion angle problems, also don't think it's OK if it does not shake or buzz ,check it its easy to shim. WebSep 24, 2014 · You have vibs for the same reason lifted trucks do... driveline angle is not correct anymore. you prob need to adjust your pinion angle. I guess you can still use shims with a spring under kit (assuming that's what you mean by a flip kit) and it would have the opposite effect of a spring over setup and rotate the pinion down.
