The providers will receive the appropriate training to engage the families along with the books to distribute to the children. About 24,000 children and their families will benefit from the Reach Out and Read program. ### WebSince 1989, Reach Out and Read has grown from a single program in Boston to 6,100 program sites in 50 states.
