I did all the basic troubleshooting like, updating bios, reinstalling the touchpad ultraNav driver with the latest one, checked bios touchpad to make sure it's enabled. WebJul 6, 2015 · The touchpad is a PS/2 device, but the driver Windows Update was installing said "SMBus." I thought maybe that's why scrolling wasn't working so I uninstalled it. But now I can't get Windows Update to reinstall the SMBus version or any other driver for it. I did a system reset, keeping files, and the problem remains.
